These reality TV stars are cancelling their love story.
Carly Lawrence and Bennett Sipes—who first stepped into the spotlight on Too Hot to Handle and Love Island USA, respectively—are getting a divorce after two years of marriage.
As seen in court documents obtained by E! News, Carly filed for divorce on June 10, citing irreconcilable differences as the grounds for the separation and the actual date of separation as June 7. Within her filing, the 27-year-old requested the court's ability to award spousal support to either herself or to Bennett be terminated.
Neither Carly nor Bennett have addressed their split publicly yet and E! News reached out to reps for both parties but has not heard back.
The two each appeared on the second season of their respective reality shows during which they each began dating a fellow cast member. For her part, Carly began dating Joey Joy before their breakup in August 2021, while Bennett, 30, found love with fellow Islander Leslie Golden before their split in November that same year.
The pair then married in May 2022, only months after first meeting at the end of the previous year.
The last time the pair appeared on social media together was in December, during which Carly included an image of Bennett in a photo dump while he shared a tribute to their second anniversary.
"2 years with my other (better) half," Bennett captioned his post, which featured a carousel of images of the two with their dog. "Here's to the most amazing woman, my best friend, my wife. My life. My lil fairy angel girl. I love you so friggin' much, Carlz. Me & Luna wouldn't be us w/o YOU."
At the time, Carly commented on his post, "I love you my little squish."
More recently, Carly celebrated her 27th birthday—featuring a number of solo shots without Bennett—at which time she reflected on all she'd learned the previous year.
"I'm so grateful for my beautiful friends and family around me," she captioned her May 30 post. "I get so emotional every year and feel so blessed that i live the life i have. Thankful for all the lessons i learned at 26… one of my biggest years for learning lessons."
